Meat Harvest Units
For producers who want to gain control over their meat processing operations, Friesla’s USDA-approved Meat Harvest Units are self-contained slaughterhouses — in a mobile or modular format — that can be transported to your farm or ranch to harvest animals onsite. Our Meat Harvest Units, formerly known as Mobile Slaughter Units or MSUs, are manufactured in the USA by TriVan Truck Body.
Mobile Meat Harvest Unit
Built with a heavy duty steel frame and rugged aluminum body construction, the Friesla Mobile Meat Harvest Unit is built to be pulled down the road. Over the 15 years, this turnkey, USDA compliant unit — now in its fourth generation of design — has been used to process meat on farms and ranches in the USA, Canada, Africa, and South America.
The Mobile Meat Harvest Unit’s dimensions are typically 38 feet long, 10 feet high (floor to meat rail), and 8.5 feet wide. An alternate 45-foot-long version includes a processing area. Our team of meat industry and regulatory experts designs and helps you deploy it to maximize efficiency in your meat processing. For use, tow the trailer to your site, start the generator, and begin harvesting.
Each self-contained mobile unit includes a meat rail hanging system, hide puller, diesel generator, water storage, on-demand water heater, plumbing, drainage, refrigeration, waterproofed electrical, and all other installed equipment required for operation under USDA inspection. The interior’s smooth sides and coved edges enable easy cleaning to help prevent bacterial growth.
